Transport Overpacks

Integrated Environmental Services utilizes an assortment of DOT (Department of Transportation) exempt cylinder overpacks. These units allow leaking or deteriorated cylinders to be safely and legally transported over public roads in accordance with DOT regulations.

eco-hp-15
 ECO HP-15

ECO HP-15
The ECO HP-15 is a DOT-exempt salvage cylinder for transport or storage of leaking, damaged, or deteriorated compressed gas cylinders. Fabricated of carbon steel to ASME Section VIII Lethal Service standards, the vessel is rated to 1480 psig, enabling it to safely contain virtually all sizes of commercial cylinders up to pressurizes of 2500 psig. Gases inside the salvage cylinder can be withdrawn via a valve and either directed to an appropriate scrubber or repackaged. The ECO HP-15 can be safely used for cylinders and other containers up to 15 inches in diameter, can be licensed for use with a specialized cylinder penetrator system, is available with a small cylinder adapter, and can serve as a small-scale chemical reactor. All handling functions are designed for use by personnel dressed out in full chemical protective gear. The unit is particularly useful in first response situations where immediate action is required or in situations where it is necessary to move a leaking or deteriorated cylinder with ut risking an uncontrolled gas release.

eco-hp-10
 ECO HP-10

ECO HP-10
The ECO HP-10 is a state-of-the-art overpack employed to contain high-pressure cylinders. Gases released inside the overpack can be withdrawn via a valve and directed to an appropriate scrubber or repackaged. The ECO HP-10 overpack (top right) is also suitable for containing a wide variety of hazardous containers besides gas cylinders. It can be fitted with a penetration system and serve as a chemical reactor. This unit is particularly useful in first-response situations where immediate secure containment of a potentially dangerous item is desirable.

eco-lp-10
 EC0 LP-10

ECO LP-10
The ECO LP-10 is a DOT-exempt salvage cylinder for transport or storage of leaking, damaged, or deteriorated compressed gas cylinders. The unit was designed specifically to address the transport needs of chlorine and sulfur dioxide cylinders. Fabricated of carbon steel to ASME Section VIII Division 1 standards, the vessel has a working pressure of 255 psig. Gases released inside the salvage cylinder can be withdrawn via top-mounted CGA 820 valves and either directed to an appropriate scrubber or repackaged. The ECO LP-10 vessel weighs only 325 pounds and is easily moved on its castors. It can be used for routine, secure transport of cylinders containing hazardous gases or in emergency response situations which demand rapid containment of a leaking or deteriorated cylinder. The quick-closure hatch is easily opened and closed by one person, even when fully attired in chemical protective clothing.

Chlorine Overpack

Chlorine Overpack
The Chlorine Overpack is designed to totally encapsulate a leaking chlorine cylinder by inserting the entire cylinder within the recovery vessel. This vessel is capable of containing leaks that may occur in 100 & 150 lb chlorine cylinders. Like the ECO HP-10, the chlorine overpack is a DOT exempt vessel and may be used to transport cylinders.
