| Responsibilities: |
We are actively recruiting hazardous material technicians who are
responsible for executing a variety of field activities. This position reports
to the project foreman and will be responsible for a wide range of duties to
meet quality, safety, and profit goals while maintaining both safety and quality standards. |
| Job Description: |
Performs all aspects of hazardous waste management to include handling,
record keeping, inventory, transportation, remediation, and disposition.
Required to wear both Level B and Level C protective equipment to make
entries into the chemical exclusion areas to treat, sample, repackage, and
transport various materials, including compressed gas cylinders. Duties
require that technician possess the ability to understand and implement
technical procedures relating to chemical processing and mechanical
system operation. Applicants for this position must:

4) adapt to new situations rapidly
5) be a quick learner |
| Min. Requirements: |
-U.S. Citizen
-Valid Driver's License
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Good verbal and written communication skills
-Knowledge of computers and common computer application programs such as Excel and Word
-Applicant must be able to wear chemical protective clothing, including Level B and Level C ensembles for extended periods
-Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER training is preferred
Applicant must be able to work without close supervision and possess a
strong willingness to learn new skills.

Ability to travel both domestically and abroad. Ability to perform
physically demanding work that is often outdoors in hot or cold climates.
Able to operate and maintain light and medium machinery and equipment.
Some night and weekend work may be required. Candidates must
successfully pass standard pre-employment drug/background screens and
a physical examination with an evaluation of the applicant’s ability to use
respiratory and safety equipment as required. |
