Valkyr Mark IV

For processing cylinders with inoperable valves and those containing low-pressure liquefied gases such as chlorine, IES has designed and uses a highly portable, rapid set-up machine, the Mark IV. This IES Valkyr Class Cylinder Management Device is designed to safely access compressed gas cylinders and other hazardous containers for sampling, treatment, or recontainerization. The Valkyr provides a totally enclosed processing environment, and is capable of handling cylinders up to 14-inches in diameter. This system features the following:

• A carbon steel containment vessel designed to ASME lethal service standards.
• An operating pressure of 250 psig but can be modified to safely contain cylinders with pressures up to 6,000 psig by coupling it with auxiliary pressure "overflow" vessels.
• Interior surfaces may be passivated to allow processing of highly reactive gases, such as fluorine.
• Complete atmospheric control for cylinder processing using inert gases that blanket the target container.
